Compact multifunctional ColorWorks performs all the functions of creating a brochure: rendering, feeding block sheets, feeding covers, creasing, stapling, folding and trimming on three sides
The booklet maker's feeding system is equipped with two trays. The top tray feeds the digital collations that make up the interior of the booklet. The lower one feeds the cover.
The feeding system is equipped with ultrasonic sensors for monitoring sheet jams and double sheets. The machine's conducting mechanisms automatically bring the block together with the cover and, after pushing and aligning, bring the block into the brochure side trimming system using circular knives. In the next operating cycle, the brochure undergoes the operation of forming a spine in a mechanism equipped with an impact-type scoring device. Sewing is carried out with special heads with an electromagnetic drive.
The complex equipment of the sewing heads includes a replaceable, disposable cartridge containing sewing staple blanks sufficient to produce 5000 sewing operations. At the final stage of brochure production, the spine is finally formed in a knife folding device and the end edge is trimmed, giving the brochure its final presentation.
All operations for sheet-by-sheet selection of digital prints are carried out using optoelectronic sensors that recognize special marks imprinted on digital machine.
All production and adjustment processes are controlled using two color contact displays equipped with a simple, intuitive interface.
