Introduction of alcohol-free offset printing technology

05.05.2017

If you have decided to introduce alcohol-free technology, then it is necessary that not only you are interested in this - printers and technologists should also be interested in switching to the new technology. Unfortunately, most printers  are very conservative. Moreover, if we are talking about experienced printers and technologists.

The logic here is simple: the printer believes that he has already learned everything, knows everything and knows everything within the confines of “his” printing machine. He is ready to “rest on his laurels,” but here are some new technologies... Moreover, the printer does not see HIS BENEFIT in what is happening, he only receives a salary, and only you spend or save money.

There is a stereotype , that when a defect is discovered, printers are always “extreme” - by definition. Therefore, no printer will want to complicate his life with new consumables, much less printing technologies.

It is also known that most heads of printing houses practice calculating salaries for printers based on the results of producing printed products for the month. Thus, printers initially face a “race” for the quantity of printed copies, and not for quality, and even more so for the introduction of innovative and cost-effective technologies.

Therefore, the printer will try to convince his management that this is impossible in a printing house for any reason. If it is possible, then somewhere there, but not here... We are talking, as you understand, about the psychological factor.

Most people are afraid of new things. This is logical - we are already accustomed to the old, but to achieve something new, it takes effort and time, and the result is still unknown. The main problem with introducing new technology is precisely the reluctance (or laziness) of printers to change something; this is the main psychological barrier.
